The Coffee Region is characterized by attractive and charming towns that offer an authentic Colombian and coffee experience. Each one has its own charm and provides a unique insight into coffee culture and life in Colombia. Here are some of the most notable towns to visit in the region:

  • Salento y el Valle de Cocora: Salento is one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, and undoubtedly, one of the best things to do is stroll through its picturesque streets to admire the typical paisa architecture. Explore the main park, visit craft shops, and go up to the viewpoint.
    From the viewpoint, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire town of Salento. Valle de Cocora, a natural reserve that preserves the biodiversity of various species, including the Wax Palm, Colombia's national tree, and a variety of birds.   • Finlandia, Quindío: It is a charming little Colombian town, located in the Quindío department, that is part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, declared a World Heritage Site.
    • Colina Iluminada Viewpoint: Located on the outskirts of the city. With a distinctive crown-shaped design, the wooden structure stands 27 meters tall and features several observation platforms. From there, you can view most of the towns in the region, as well as the spectacular peaks of the western Colombian Andes. Nearby, you'll pass through the neighborhood of the Master Artisans, where you’ll find a variety of crafts at very favorable prices, a perfect opportunity to take a piece of Filandia's culture and traditions with you.

  • Santa Rosa de Cabal: It is famous throughout the country for its chorizos, a pork sausage that undergoes a special curing process and is characterized by having less fat than traditional chorizo. But Santa Rosa goes beyond its chorizos: it is one of the gateways to Los Nevados National Natural Park, the starting point to the Otún Lagoon and the Santa Isabel Snow Peak, and it has some of the most visited hot springs in the country: the Santa Rosa de Cabal hot springs.
    • Taste the delicious Santa Rosa chorizos.
    • Visit a place called Parque Calypso where you'll experience the House of Enchantment, the UP House, and the Alice in Wonderland Maze (Disney movies). Additionally, there are play and painting areas, a candy zone, and much more.
    • Visit the unparalleled César Restrepo Bakery and its beautiful heritage house full of charm and beauty. They offer a great gastronomic selection, and you can also find delicious desserts and artisanal sweets.
  • Aguadas: It is part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It has great artistic, cultural, artisanal, folkloric, historical, and architectural wealth. Known as “the city of mists,” the capital of the hat, the pionono, the pasillo, and “the land of Aguadas' putas.”
    • Visit some of the workshops where the popular Aguadeño hats are made to see the process and take one home.
    • Once there, you can't miss visiting El Pueblito Viejo at the top of the mountain, which will give you a replica of the origins of this place. You will also be surrounded by the green mountains.

  • Termales del Eje Cafetero:
    • The Coffee Region is known for its beautiful mountainous areas, which is why its natural hot springs stand out. They offer relaxing thermal waters.

  • Parque Natural Los Nevados:
    At about 5,000 meters above sea level, the five imposing snow-capped peaks of Quindío, Santa Isabel, El Cisne, El Ruiz, and Tolima frame the majestic beauty of one of Colombia's most extraordinary natural mosaics.
